Andromeda Astrology currently does NOT use cookies. We use browser localStorage instead, which stays on your device and is never sent to our servers. This means better privacy for you!

What We Store in localStorage

We only store information necessary for the app to function:

  • Saved Birth Charts: Your saved chart data (names, birth dates/times, locations, and calculated planetary positions)
  • Chart Calculations: Horoscope data generated from your inputs

Important: All this data stays on YOUR device. We cannot access it, and it's not sent to any server.

When Might We Use Cookies in the Future?

If we add certain features, we may need to use cookies. We'll update this policy and notify you before implementing any cookies. Potential future uses include:

1. Essential Cookies (No Consent Needed)

If we add user authentication (login/signup), we'll need session cookies to keep you logged in. These are essential for the service and don't require your consent under GDPR.

Third-Party Services

Andromeda Astrology currently uses:

  • OpenStreetMap Nominatim API: For converting city names to coordinates. We only send the city name you type; no personal data is sent.

We do NOT currently use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any tracking services.

GDPR & Privacy Compliance

Andromeda Astrology is designed with privacy in mind. Since we don't collect personal data on servers and don't use tracking cookies, we comply with GDPR, CCPA, and other privacy regulations by default. Your astrological data never leaves your device unless you explicitly export it.
